Dear Mr.Ingarden
I was just about to write to you; your letter to my husband was already sitting on my desk next to my stationary when I received your request. Well,my dear Mr.Ingarden, how can you come up with the outrageously strange idea that someone was holding something against you or something like that ? I think the friendship between us is so old and solid tha there is absolutely no room for “doubt”.So, for the future: Do not worry about misunderstandings or misinterpretaions !The fact that you have not received a reply since May must have been the postal service´s fault. Althought we cannot remember the exact date, one thing is certain: that one of us wrote to you.
Well, the main thing now is for you to learn how little you have to worry about my husband´s health. Thank goodness, he has been in excellent shape since you saw him in April. He works like a young man. He even thoroughly edited Heidegger´s book while we vacationed at Lake Como after he had so much trouble with getting the Formal Logic ready for print. Since September, he has been working on the German expansion of the Cartesian Meditations in which he included the Amsterdam lectures, but he had to take a break since Landgrebe submitted the essay on the Logical Studies (approximately 15 pages) on which my husband is now working. Since he wants to incorporate these investigations in a larger systematic context and also wants to enhace them otherwise, it is a difficult and at the moment not quite foreseeable process. Anyway, the Yearbook will not be printed before March. Some works have been sitting here for this volume for more than a year, but the”Logical Studies” are to be included as well. Now, it would be possible, if they were too extensive (which may be the case), that Niemeyer decides to publish them as a separate book. In that case, there will easily be room for the first part of your work. However, this will not be decided before February, because my husband and I will be departing on the 15th for there weeks to Kiel and Berlin to visit our children and to completely relax. By the way, it is also being considered to publish an informal series of works individually in lieu of the large and expensive Yearbook volumes. That would work in your favor, too. Nevertheless, you must be patient for a while. My husband wants to have his “Logical studies “ under control before he makes aa definite proposal to Niemeyer.
We were very pleased about your burden at school being eased. You see, “God will never fail nor abandon his own”.One must simply remain strong. And that is what you do.Please send my regards to your dear wife, and next time, write something about your family.

Creo que la amistad entre nosotros es tan antigua y sólida que no hay absolutamente ningún lugar para la "duda". Así que, para el futuro: No te preocupes por malentendidos o malas interpretaciones. El hecho de que no hayas recibido respuesta desde mayo debe ser culpa del servicio postal. Aunque no recordamos la fecha exacta, una cosa es segura: que(alguno) uno de nosotros te escribió.
Bueno, lo principal ahora es que te enteres de lo poco que tienes que preocuparte por la salud de mi marido. Gracias a Dios, está en excelente forma desde que lo viste en abril. Trabaja como un joven. Incluso editó a fondo el libro de Heidegger mientras estábamos de vacaciones en el lago como, después de haber tenido tantos problemas para tener lista la Lógica Formal para su impresión. Desde septiembre, ha estado trabajando en la ampliación en alemán de las Meditaciones cartesianas en las que incluyó las conferencias de Ámsterdam, pero tuvo que tomarse un descanso desde que Landgrebe presentó el ensayo sobre los Estudios lógicos (unas 15 páginas) en el que mi marido está trabajando ahora. Como quiere incorporar estas investigaciones en un contexto sistemático más amplio y también quiere mejorarlas de otra manera, es un proceso difícil y por el momento no del todo previsible. De todos modos, el Anuario no se imprimirá antes de marzo. Algunos trabajos llevan más de un año esperando este volumen, pero los "Estudios Lógicos" también se incluirán. Ahora bien, es posible que, si son demasiado extensos (que puede ser el caso), Niemeyer decida publicarlos como un libro aparte. En ese caso, habrá fácilmente espacio para la primera parte de su obra. Sin embargo, esto no se decidirá antes de febrero, ya que mi marido y yo partiremos el día 15 hacia Kiel y Berlín para visitar a nuestros hijos y relajarnos por completo. Por cierto, también se está considerando la posibilidad de publicar una serie informal de trabajos de forma individual en lugar de los grandes y costosos volúmenes del Anuario. Eso también le favorecería. No obstante, hay que tener paciencia durante un tiempo. Mi marido quiere tener sus "Estudios lógicos" bajo control antes de hacer una propuesta definitiva a Niemeyer.
